Rozenstruik vs. Gane: Odds, lines, predictions and picks

Records: Rozenstruik 11-1 Gane 7-0

Fight result (2-way line or money line)

ROZENSTRUIK (+200) is a great value on the 2-way line with a chance to double up against the Frenchman Gane. Since arriving at the UFC level, Rozenstruik has been involved in six KO/TKO results in six fights, including five wins. His only loss was to Francis Ngannou May 9, 2020 at UFC 249. While Gane holds a three-inch reach advantage, Rozenstruik is a punching machine who won’t be afraid to get in close against Gane.

For an even better value, play ROZENSTRUIK BY KO/TKO, DQ OR SUBMISSION (+300) for a chance to triple up. If you choose a three-round block, play ROZENSTRUIK IN ROUND 2 (+1150), ROZENSTRUIK IN ROUND 3 (+1800) and ROZENSTRUIK IN ROUND 4 (+2500). If he is able to pull off the upset in Rounds 2-4, you would lose two ends, but you’ll be very, very far ahead, too. There is just so much more value playing Rozenstruik than Gane.

Over/Under (O/U)

These two fighters are brawlers, and there is a very low chance of the judges being needed at the end. NO (-250): “WILL THE FIGHT GO THE DISTANCE?” is a steep price tag, but a near certainty. UNDER 3.5 ROUNDS (-160) is a good call as well.

  • The rematch for the vacant flyweight title between Deiveson Figueiredo and Joseph Benavidez is the main event of UFC on ESPN+ 30.
  • Figueiredo defeated Benavidez in the first fight, but he missed weight and didn’t become a champion.
  • Figueiredo was tested positive for COVID two months ago and there were some suspicions that he might be positive once again.

Figueiredo vs. Benavidez Preview

It is a match for the title, the vacant UFC flyweight which as left without a champ after Henry Cejudo decided to retire from MMA. The last time these two guys met, Figueiredo knocked out Benavidez, but he didn’t get the title belt because of missing the weight for some 2.7 pounds. It was a massive blow for the Brazilian who claimed that his shape for that battle was like never before. On the other side, Benavidez had luck, and now has another chance to become a champion, his fourth one.

When and Where to Watch Figueiredo vs. Benavidez

Where: Flash Forum – Fight Island, UAE
When: July 19, pm ET
How to Watch: ESPN +

Figueiredo’s COVID Troubles

Several days ago, the Brazilian was tested positive for COVID-19, but he and his team refused to believe in that, and wanted another test. Figueiredo had Corona two months ago but got through that successfully, and this last test before boarding to the airplane for Abu Dhabi was pretty confusing.

However, the second test came back negative, and the 32-year old took flight this Monday to arrive in UAE. He went all the procedures which include 48-hour quarantine, additional testings, paperwork, etc, and that no doubt left some trace on him. The everyday routine and the period of adjustment for sure didn’t go well for this guy.

Figueiredo has only one loss throughout his career, and that was in March 2019 against Jussier Formiga. After that, he jumped back into the saddle defeating Alexandre Pantoja, Timm Elliot, and Benavidez

Benavidez Once Again in a Title Fight

The older MMA fans are probably remembering Benavidez’s matches with Demetrious Johnson some 8 years ago. He had two shots at the title against the legendary American but failed to use both, first after a split decision in favor of Johnson and the second after a KO.

The one against Figueiredo wasn’t too painful because the title stayed vacant, and the 35-year old veteran now has a chance to erase all that. What boosts his morale is the fact that he defeated Jussier Formiga recently. He was also better than Dustin Ortiz and Alex Perez.

Benavidez has one very notable name in his resume, and that is Cejudo himself, at The Ultimate Fighter: Tournament of the Champions Finale in 2016.

Prediction

We don’t know what is the condition of Figueiredo, but according to some sources, the Brazilian lost valuable time with all the COVID-19 problems and formalities. He had three of four days without proper practice, and he definitely lost some of his focus on the fight.

In our opinion, this and the fact that he has a pressure to win, especially after the first fight is something which might break him, and we are here to back up Benavidez’s triumph. It’s time for him to become the UFC champion.
