Ufc Fight Odds Explained

You can use Vegas odds to calculate the favorite’s chance of winning the fight. It’s done through this formula: Percentage = (Vegas Odds / (100 + Vegas Odds)) x 100 Note that in this formula you need to. When working with American odds, you need to remember that the minus - symbol always means that you will have to bet more than $100 to win $100. Minus - odds are considered the “favourite”. Odds with the plus + symbol are considered the “underdogs”. The UFC 217 main card is completely stacked and is one of the deepest of the year. How Odds Work

Unlike a spread on an NFL game where one team is ahead by a certain number of points (ex. Saints +7), in MMA fights, the line on the game is called a moneyline. These are the +/- used on UFC broadcasts. The figure is how much money you have to bet in order to win $100 (-), and how much a $100 bet will earn (+). They are perhaps best explained via example:

Ufc Fight Odds Explained

FRANKIE EDGAR +300
CORY SANDHAGEN -365

In this fight, Sandhagen is the -365 favorite, meaning if you bet $365 on him and he wins, you would profit $100. If he were to lose though, you would lose the full $365.

If you were to bet on Frankie at +300, if you bet $100 on him and he wins the fight, you will profit $300. If he were to lose the fight, you would lose your original $100 bet.

Depending on how people are betting on the fights, the odds can shift from the moment they open, right up until the night of the fights.

Some say never bet until the weigh-ins, which streamed live on The UG at Noon ET on Friday.

The sport is built on moments that make you involuntary think “HOLY F***ING S***!!!” Those can come at any time, on any portion of the card, from any fighter. Thus, some bettors look to the underdogs, sometimes big ones, as the best bets. UG, you see any ‘dogs’ you like?

Ufc Fight Odds Explained Week 9

  • Magomed Ankalaev -360
  • Nikita Krylov +270

Magomed Ankaleav comes in as the heavy favorite after winning five straight fights. The big underdog is Nikita “The Miner” Krylov, whose last fight was a win by decision in March of 2020.

Krylov will look to land strong punches on his feet and finish his opponent early, with only two of his 34 pro fights going the full length.

However, he is going up against a submission specialist in Ankaleav that is 14-1 in his career, with the one loss being at the very final bell.

UFC Fight Night: Mayra Bueno Silva vs. Montana De La Rosa Odds – 2/27/21 - 9:45 p.m. EST

  • Mayra Bueno Silva -145

Ufc Fight Odds Explained Predictions

The next fight features the favorite Mayta Bueno Silva taking on Montana De La Rosa, with tons of upset potential.

Bueno Silva is looking to bounce back and get her second win in a row following her first professional loss in March of 2020. De La Rosa is looking to bounce back after a decision loss in September.

Even as the underdog, De La Rosa matches up great in this fight. She is a strong grappler and submission specialist, who will look to take down the striking Bueno Silva early.

Look for De La Rosa to score the upset win.

UFC Fight Night: Jimmie Rivera vs. Pedro Munhoz Odds – 2/27/21 - 9:15 p.m. EST

  • Jimmie Rivera -155

The final fight of the night that those looking to bet on the UFC should watch is the matchup between Jimmie Rivera and Pedro Munhoz.
